Crossing Borders, 2019, Casa Lu, Mexico City
This body of work was created in residency at Casa Lu in Mexico City. During my time, I created work about our shared border. I incorporated stories from immigrant neighbors in Baltimore, historic photos of immigration, and imagery from local news sources. The series includes paintings, collages and an installation of handmade paper. Paper was made during my residency from local bouganvilla flowers.
