An Exhibition at Inova Schar Cancer Center in Fairfax, Virginia

"Sanctuary" is an exhibition that illustrates the natural world and the gifts that nature provides. In nature, we can experience rejuvenation, stillness and healing. By celebrating these gifts, we can carry them with us through our days and through our lives. We begin to notice the sanctity all around us - in the woods, in our homes, with our loved ones, everywhere.

Artist Julia Glatfelter lovingly paints ordinary views so that we can experience them for a little longer. Her hope is to help us notice what is sacred in our daily lives.
